If you’re in a rush, or new to commissioning feel free to use the template below as an example.
Name: John Smith
Type: One Full Body Illustration.
Character Description: I’d like a commission of my elf archer, George. George is a tall slender elf with coppery skin and long black hair that goes down to the middle of his back. He has green eyes and wears a brown tunic, black leggings and fingerless gloves. I’d like him to be holding his favorite golden bow in the picture.
Personality: George is very snarky and confident and always the first to run into battle.
Pose: I’d love a picture of him ready for battle, posing with his bow and arrow.
Visual References: include his outfit, similar hairstyles and faces, and his bow.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What Does your Commission Process look like?
A: Happy to help-Generally my commissions are broken down into four stages.
• 1. Discussing your request
Once I’ve received your request, I will clarify any details needed before sending you a price quote for your commission. If the price quote sounds good I'll invoice you. Once payment is received work will begin.
• 2. Receive a sketch for review
After working on your piece, I'll will send you a sketch for approval. All commissioners receive at least one sketch check-in to review before the artwork is finalized. At this point it’s important for you to note anything major that needs changing. If needed I will send you an additional sketch with revisions and then proceed with the commission. Larger commissions may receive multiple work in progress sketches.
• 3. Receive your final preview for review.
Once the commission is done I will send you a low res copy for review. At this stage, small adjustments can be made but larger revisions may cost extra. Once you've approved the final, I'll ask you make any outstanding payments for your purchase.
• 4. Receive your final product
Once you approve the final, I will send you high resolution versions of your file. If you have a specific filetype you would like please feel free to specify, otherwise the defaults are a full resolution .PNG, and JPEG file. After these files are sent, images of your commission may be posted to my social media accounts or added to my portfolio. If you would like your commission to be kept offline, or kept offline until a certain date please make a note of it prior to final approval.
Q: Writing Emails makes me nervous, can I just DM you on twitter/instagram/Discord etc.?
A: Yeah! Definitely, emails are just the easiest for me to keep track of and organize commission inquiries. Just keep in mind if you message me over a different medium I may be a little slower to reply. I'm also not expecting anyone to write a fancy formal email, so don't stress out over emailing me :) It's chill.
.
Q: Can I commission you to draw myself, a friend, family member etc?
A: Absolutely! If you request this please just let me know if you'd like the art to be in my 'normal' more illustrated style or something realistic like the examples here. Just keep in mind that more realism will be more expensive.
Q: Do you draw non-human characters? Such as Dragonborn, Firbolgs, Kenku and Furries?
A: I can certainly try! I have drawn them in the past, and you can see some examples here. I'm just not as confident drawing them, so I advertise artwork of more humanoid characters.
Q: Do you draw Body Horror, Blood etc?
A: I'm a huge fan of the horror genre so I'm definitely open to it on a case-by case basis. If it feels like your concept is too intense for me I'll let you know.
Q: Do you draw NSFW Content?
A: Pin ups are fun, and I do love figure drawing so I'm open to it on a case-by-case basis. If it feels like your concept is too intense for me I'll let you know. NSFW art would come with an additional fee as I wouldn't be posting it for portfolio uses.

Terms and Conditions

Hello! Thanks for reaching out to commission me. I’m happy to present you with my terms of service for personal use commissions. If you decide to purchase from me, you are agreeing to the below terms of service. If you have any questions about these terms or would like to request an amendment or change, feel free to let me know and I’ll see what I can do.As a general notice, I have the right to decline any commission request. There’s a variety of reasons your commission may be declined, either due to the content, scope of work, skills involved, time constraints, etc. You are free to ask why your commission request was declined.I. Scope of Work
The artist will always submit a sketch before proceeding with the final commissioned piece, once the sketch is approved major revisions may come at an added fee, as outlined further in the revisions section. For larger commissions the client may also receive additional work in progress previews showing inks etc for approval. When the piece is finished the artist will send over a low resolution/watermarked preview and once approved the client will receive full resolution final files and the commission will be marked as finished.
II. Timelines
Commissions are generally finished on a first come first served basis, however due to the complexity of some commissions, certain pieces may take longer or shorter than others. The turnaround time begins only once a payment is processed and all references have been turned over to the artist.
Approximate Turnaround Times
Exact times will vary depending on place in the queue, and complexity. Please let me know if you need a commission by a certain date, such as a Holiday, Birthday, etc, when you send in your request. I will do my best to accommodate requests.
Below are the approximate timelines you can expect once I start on your commission, and assume that the client responds to work in progress pieces in a timely manner.
Character Tokens: Approximately 1-2 Weeks Once Started
Icons & Avatars: Approximately 1-2 Weeks Once Started
Half Body Character Illustrations: Approximately 2-4 Weeks Once Started
Full Body Character Illustrations: Approximately 2-5 Weeks Once Started
Full Illustrations: Approximately 1 Month varying on scale
Communication
You can expect replies to commission related correspondence within 2 business days of sending inquiries. Business days are Monday through Friday. Weekend requests may not be answered until the following Monday. If the artist will be unavailable for an extended period of time ( such as on vacation, or taking medical leave etc. ) this will be communicated on the commission website and any active clients will be notified with as much advance notice as reasonably possible. The artist will not be held accountable if a commission exceeds its estimated turnaround time due to a client failing to approve or respond to email communications.
IV. Payment
Payments for commissions are to be made up front before work begins. The artist currently accepts Paypal, Venmo, and Ko-fi as payment options. I will send you an invoice once we have the details settled and I will start working on your commission once payment is received.
Rush Fees
If you need the commission done in less time than the timeline allocated, you may incur a rush fee. If you request a rush commission in your initial correspondence, the fee will be noted with your overall commission quote. Rush fees are calculated based on the price of the commission and the amount of time given to complete the commission. Rush commissions can not always be accommodated and will be accepted based on the artist’s availability. Rush requests made after initial payment and timeline has been agreed upon will be denied.
Payment Plans
If you are commissioning a particularly expensive piece you may be eligible for a payment plan. If your commission costs over $100 USD, you can request a payment plan for your commission. Payment plans require a minimum 50% deposit before illustrating begins. Once the deposit is made the commission will progress as usual, but all sketches and previews will be watermarked. Once the artwork is finished and approved you will be asked to make any remaining payments before the full resolution unwatermarked files are sent.
Cancellations & Refunds
Occasionally circumstances in life arise that may require a cancellation of a commission. Stipulations and refund details for both a client cancellation and artist cancellation are outlined below.
If a Commission Cancellation is requested by the Client
If the client requests a cancellation from the artist before the artist has started any work, they can expect a full refund within 5-10 business days of their request ( not accounting for time needed by banks to process the refund ).
If the client requests a refund after the artist has begun work, but before the commission has been completed the client will receive a partial refund based on how much work the artist has finished. The client will not receive any additional files or artwork aside from what was already sent prior to the refund request. The client will also forfeit the ability to request a full resolution work in progress or .psd of the commission.Once the final commission has been finished,a commission is not eligible for a refund. If a Commission Cancellation is requested by the Artist
If the artist requests a cancellation, the client will be refunded in full regardless of what stage the work is at. The client can expect a full refund within 5-10 business days of their request ( not accounting for time needed by banks to process the refund ).
IV. Revisions
All commission types I offer come with a set number and type of revisions at no cost to you. Sometimes not everything gets perfectly communicated through emails-and that is okay! I categorize revisions into two types outlined below:
*“Major Revisions” Major revisions are defined as large scale changes to the commission. Some examples include but are not limited to: Changing an entire pose, modifying an entire outfit, adding or removing background elements and changes that require a large amount of time. You are encouraged to submit any major revisions in the sketching or inking phase as they may be exceptionally difficult to implement to a final piece.“Minor Revisions” Minor revisions are defined as smaller scale changes to the commission. Some examples include but are not limited to: Adjusting the length of hair slightly, Changing the color of an article of clothing, repositioning a hand etc. Generally these are edits that require minimal time. You are encouraged to submit any Minor revisions at any time throughout the process of the commission, though they’re often most useful in the inking phase.Excessive revisions beyond the number allotted for your commission type may be subject to extra fees due to the additional time they’ll require. Should this occur the artist will give you a quote on the cost of the potential revision and the client will have an option to leave the work as-is, or pay an additional invoice for the extra work. Revisions requested after the final commissioned piece has already been approved and files handed over will only be entertained for a fee, and may be declined outright depending on the artist’s availability.V.
